This is where grain was stored above ground to prevent moisture and keep mice away. Another option was to store grain in
storage pits in the ground. Agriculture provided most of the food. However, food was usually imported to the oppida from
surrounding villages. The Celts cultivated their fields with wooden plows with iron plowshares or iron-shod spades.
Grain was harvested with a sickle. Iron scythes were used to harvest fodder for livestock.
