16 - Potter's Cottage
Based on a finding from the Závist oppidum, Adámkovo Mýto, “house on the rampart”
This is a rather atypical building with a side extension. According to archaeological research, it is not clear whether
the extension was
directly connected to the house or served as a stable for animals with a separate entrance. In our reconstruction, the
extension is furnished
as a bed for the family. The house is heated by a clay oven and its size and equipment correspond to the status of a
potter as a
craftsman from the middle class.
