For the production of luxury ceramics, the Celts began using the potter’s wheel, while ordinary pottery was modeled by
hand. Sometimes graphite was added to the clay, which improved the heat resistance of cooking vessels. Pottery was
decorated with combing, stamp impressions, or painted with engobe – a thin clay-based color. An interesting feature here
is the cellar for storing clay.
