Ancient Piglets

Our pigs are not purebred, but boast a diverse origin – in their pedigree you’ll find wild boars and Göttingen minipigs. Compared to modern domestic pigs, they are smaller and leaner, resembling the pigs raised by the Celts.

They thrive in The Land of Celts, and so new piglets appear here from time to time.

Pigs held a significant place in Celtic life – not only as a source of meat, fat, skin, and bristles. Boars were symbols of strength and courage, often appearing on jewelry, and pork was placed in graves as a valuable gift for the afterlife.

You can observe the animals near the enclosure, but please do not enter inside or try to pet them. The pigs appreciate their peace and safe space. Only their experienced caretaker, whom they know well, can take care of them.
