If weather permitted, food was prepared outdoors and collectively for several families. The most common dishes might
have been savory and sweet grain or legume porridges, thick soups, and mixtures of grains, legumes, and vegetables. Meat
and dairy products were also included. Sourdough bread or unleavened flatbreads could be baked in the dome-shaped ovens.
