Woodcarver’s cabin
Based on findings from the Závist oppidum, near gate A, obj.13
The house is built from oak logs, with gaps between them stuffed with sheep’s wool and in exposed places covered with daub, which stays in place thanks to small wooden pins. The interior space is heated by a central fireplace. In the right section, you can see a carpentry-joinery workshop. The Celts processed wood using various types of axes, adzes, draw knives, chisels, saws, drills, files, and knives. You can also see a simple foot vise, known in dialect as a " horse." The left part of the house serves as living quarters.
