This semi-sunken dwelling differs from others with its entrance on the long side and a turf roof. It serves as a
workshop for weaving baskets and other items from wicker and other natural materials such as straw, bulrush, bast,
bark… For our ancestors, these materials were readily available, and products made from them formed a large part of
household equipment. Unfortunately, they preserve very poorly, so very few such items have survived to the present day.
