One of the important functions of oppida was trade. Caravans with various goods traveled here. Amber was imported from the north, bronze vessels, luxury jewelry, glass raw materials, and wine from the south, salt from the Austrian Alps, grain mills from stoneworking workshops, and other goods as well. Therefore, it is necessary to assume the existence of marketplaces and places for caravans to camp.
